Security on the go
Mobile Camera Security (MCS) has released its Mobile Camera Security trailer, a rapid-deployment remote surveillance solution, designed and built in Australia.
The system, which the company believes is the world’s most intelligent security trailer, is designed for a range of remote security requirements, including construction site surveillance, event management, workplace health and safety monitoring, law enforcement, and private security.
The trailer requires no external power, and no computer or telephone connections. It is fully self-powered by solar panels, and viewable via the 3G network through secure password protection. Digital DVR recording with a 1,000gb hard drive will record more than 40 days with either live viewing or pre-recorded event viewing via the internet. With motion-activated infra-red cameras for night-time activities, the mobile unit allows for activation of alarms and sirens for pre-determined set points.
The system, which has a self-contained, tamper-resistant, GPS-tracked trailer as the platform, can be towed to a site and deployed within 20 minutes.
The cameras offer 35 times optical and 12 times digital zoom, and day/night operation for consistent performance. The system includes three infra-red variable-focus dome cameras, and has a 6.5-metre telescoping mast for full area view.
MCS is currently in negotiations to market the system to federal and state agencies, as well as private companies. The units are available for outright purchase or hire from the Queensland-based company.
